Kuhns v. State of California
(8 Cal.App.4th982) $15.2 Million verdict to a young man rendered quadriplegic as a result of the negligent design and construction of a freeway interchange upheld by the California Supreme Court. Remains one of the state’s leading cases on discovery abuse, as well as one of the largest verdicts against the state based on design defect.
